Terry Jarvis is one of Australia’s exceptional Watercolour Artists. His passion for his craft and his love for the wonderful medium of watercolour is revealed through his varied subject matter ranging from magnificent Australian scenes, to paintings of his travels around the globe. Terry is a sought after watercolour workshop tutor throughout Australia and overseas. He is an award winner in his chosen field and his paintings hang in private collections worldwide. Judging Art Exhibitions is a task he excels at and enjoys. Terry has written feature articles for Australian Artist Magazine, The Artist Magazine – UK, and has featured in two books – “The New Encyclopaedia of Watercolour techniques” and “Watercolour Secrets”, both London Publications. Watercolour provides unique challenges that Terry loves. To catch the light and capture that special moment in time, to discover that watercolour is for ever your Master in all of its nuances. He believes that it will always be a privilege to paint with this wonderful medium. Terry’s Studio is nestled in the heart of the Wellsford Forest near Bendigo, Victoria, this area provides constant inspiration for him.
VIEW ITINERARY DAY 1 Tuesday 8 July 2025
Plymouth, England
Passengers in London will be collected at 11.15am
from the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt
Hotel in Kensington. The coach will then travel to
London’s Heathrow Airport to collect passengers
at 12:00 pm midday. We then travel to Plymouth,
renowned for its timeless charm, tranquillity, and
fine medieval architecture. Plymouth, a coastal
gem situated between the estuaries of the rivers
Plym to the east and Tamar to the west, where they
converge into Plymouth Sound. The group will
meet this evening for welcome drinks, followed by
an included dinner.
DAY 2 Wednesday 9 July 2025
Plymouth
This morning, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Plymouth, guided by a local expert who will unveil
the city’s rich history and notable landmarks. In the
afternoon, the artistic journey takes centre stage as
Terry kicks off a painting session in Plymouth. Let
the sights and impressions from the morning tour
inspire your creativity.
DAY 3 Thursday 10 July 2025
Plymouth
Today we embark on a journey to the picturesque
Dartmouth for a day of painting, often referred
to as the Jewel of the South Hams. This charming destination welcomes us with its ancient narrow
streets adorned with boutique shops, art galleries,
and delicatessens. The cobbled market place
beckons with colourful stalls offering an array of
fresh local produce. Terry will provide guidance
during the day.
DAY 4 Friday 11 July 2025
Plymouth
Embark on a scenic journey to Polperro this
morning, a picturesque village and fishing harbor
on the southeast Cornwall coast. Polperro’s charm
lies in its narrow streets, quaint cottages, and the
vibrant atmosphere of its fishing harbor. Terry,
with his discerning eye, will select a wonderful
subject for the day’s painting session. Following
the demonstration, he will provide individual
assistance to workshop members, guiding them in
capturing the unique beauty of Polperro.
DAY 5 Saturday 12 July 2025
Plymouth
Embark on a delightful journey to Mevagissey,
a charming fishing port nestled in a small valley
facing east to Mevagissey Bay. The harbors, both
inner and outer, buzz with activity, hosting a blend of pleasure vessels and working fishing boats.
Under Terry’s guidance, the picturesque scenes
of Mevagissey will become great subjects for
your paintings. Capture the essence of the bustling
harbors, the coastal charm, and the unique
atmosphere of this fishing village in your artwork.
DAY 6 Sunday 13 July 2025
Plymouth
Immerse yourself in a full day painting session
in the captivating surroundings of Plymouth.
Terry will find some great subjects for today’s
painting sessions, followed by a critique session
in the afternoon. This evening there will be an
included dinner.
DAY 7 Monday 14 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon, England
Following breakfast, our journey leads us to visit
the enchanting town of Castle Combe, hailed
as ‘The Prettiest Village in England.’ We will
stop here for lunch. We then continue to the
enchanting town of Stratford Upon Avon. This
market town boasts over 800 years of history, with
many buildings that would have been familiar
to the legendary playwright and poet, William
Shakespeare. Set along the picturesque River
Avon, Stratford upon Avon will be our home for
the next six nights. As the day transitions into
evening, a delightful dinner will be included,
providing an opportunity to savour the culinary
delights of the region.
DAY 8 Tuesday 15 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon
This morning, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Stratford upon Avon with a local guide. We will
visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and New Place, the
immortal playwright’s retirement home. Following
a leisurely lunch, the afternoon unfolds with artistic
inspiration as Terry kicks off his painting session in
the delightful town of Stratford-upon-Avon.
DAY 9 Wednesday 16 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon
Today we enjoy a picturesque journey to the
charming village of Bourton on-the-Water for
a painting session. Renowned for its idyllic
High Street, flanked by expansive greens and
crisscrossed by the meandering River Windrush,
this village captivates with its serene beauty. The
low, arched stone bridges that span the river have
earned Bourton on-the-Water the moniker “Venice
of the Cotswolds,” adding to its allure.
DAY 10 Thursday 17 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon
Today we travel to Lower Slaughter for a full day
of painting with Terry. Nestled beside the little Eye
stream, the village is renowned for its unspoiled limestone cottages, epitomizing the traditional
Cotswold architectural style. Wander through the
narrow lanes adorned with quintessential cottages
and immerse yourself in the timeless charm of
Lower Slaughter. The village is crisscrossed by
two small bridges that span the gently flowing
stream, adding to the idyllic ambiance. Under
Terry’s guidance, find your perfect painting spot to
capture the essence of this picturesque village.
DAY 11 Friday 18 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon
Embark on a journey to the charming market town
of Stow-on-the-Wold, nestled in the picturesque
Cotswold Hills and situated near the northeast corner of Gloucestershire, England. Perched atop
a hill, Stow-on-the-Wold stands beside the historic
Roman Fosse Way, where it intersects with six other
roads. The town has a rich history, with evidence
of settlement dating back to the Iron Age. Today,
we indulge in a full day of painting. Let the quaint
streets, historic charm, and Cotswold landscapes
inspire your artistic expressions.
DAY 12 Saturday 19 July 2025
Stratford upon Avon
Today we enjoy a painting session in the delightful
surroundings of Stratford upon Avon. The day
unfolds with a painting demonstration by Terry,
providing valuable insights into techniques
and approaches. The day concludes with a final
critique session, farewell drinks and an included
dinner. Gather to toast to the shared experiences,
newfound friendships, and the artistic spirit that
has enriched our time in England.
DAY 13 Sunday 20 July 2025
Departure
As we bid farewell to the charm of Stratford upon
Avon, our journey leads us to London Heathrow.
This morning’s adventure concludes as we head to
Heathrow for flights departing after 2:00 pm.

1. Payment Conditions:
A reservation deposit of $500 per person is required at the
time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the
date of departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added
to payments by Visa, Mastercard and Amex.
2. Alteration to Workshop Vacation Price:
The Painting Workshop Vacation price is subject to change
in the event of unforeseen circumstances and changes in
the cost of travel and accommodation services. Should any
increase in the Workshop Vacation price be unacceptable
to the registered member, a full refund of monies paid will
be made.
3. Cancellation and Amendments:
* Cancellation conditions don’t apply for clients with future cruise/tour credits. Cruise/tour credits are non-refundable.
Cancellations received in writing 60 or more days from the
date of departure will result in a cancellation fee of $500
per person. Cancellations received 60 or fewer days before
departure will result in a loss of all monies paid. There are no
refunds for services not utilized while on a Workshop Vacation.
Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover Workshop
members for the consequences of unforeseen events during
the Workshop Vacation and for cancellation fees that could
result from illness, accident, death or other contingencies.
Once a booking has been confirmed, one amendment to
travel arrangements will be made free-of charge. Subsequent
changes to travel arrangements will incur an amendment fee
of $25 per change in addition to supplier charges.
4. Minimum Workshop Vacation Numbers:
Each Painting Workshop Vacation has been priced on the
basis of a minimum number of members travelling. In the event that fewer than the minimum number of members
have confirmed their booking 60 days from the date of
commencement, Travelrite International reserves the right to
cancel the Workshop Vacation, giving a full refund of monies
paid, or to offer arrangements to proceed with the Workshop
Vacation at a modified price.
5. General:
In the unlikely event that the Workshop tutor is unable to
perform his or her duties due to unforeseen contingencies,
Travelrite International reserves the right to substitute
another artist as tutor or to continue with the Workshop
Vacation as planned or to provide a cash refund to Workshop
members equivalent to the value of the Workshop leadership.
International Artist Painting Workshops can involve a
considerable amount of walking and stair-climbing in the
regions visited and it is important that all members have a
level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in these
activities without the need of assistance from others.
6. Tax Considerations:
If you regularly sell your own paintings, you may fall into
the semi-professional or professional category for taxation
purposes and the tour cost may be tax-deductible. We
recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified tax
adviser.
7. Responsibilities:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd., their agents, officers, affiliates,
and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with
these Workshop Vacations shall act only as agents in making
arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants, or any
other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for
any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person
or property due to an act of negligence or of default of any
hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any services included in the Workshops, or by act of God. Further,
no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due
to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown,
quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism,
or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is
accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays,
rerouting or acts of any government or authority. Baggage
remains at owner’s risk throughout the Workshop Vacation.
The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when
issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers
and the purchasers of these Painting Workshop Vacations
and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any
Painting Workshop Vacation and/or to make such changes in
the Painting Workshop Vacation as may be found desirable
for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying
out of the Painting Workshop Vacation. Registration for any
Painting Workshop Vacation constitutes a contract which
shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of
Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in the
State of Victoria.
