Robyn Collier has over 40 years of painting experience and is regarded as one of Australia’s foremost wilderness artists – preferring to paint the natural world and aspects of it. She has conducted workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand for the past 12 years, published many articles, held over 30 exhibitions and made numerous television appearances. Her work has won multiple awards and is in prestigious collections in most countries in the world. She has taken part in many ‘Artist-in-Residence’ programs – both on the mainland of Australia’s and many remote islands. Robyn’s philosophy is simple – “I want to show people the magic of the natural world through my work.”

DAY 1: Wednesday 1 October 2025
Kangaroo Island
Workshop participants will be warmly greeted
at Adelaide Airport at 10.00am, where a private
coach awaits to embark on an unforgettable
journey as we travel by coach and ferry to
Kangaroo Island, Australia’s third-largest island.
This pristine haven is a sanctuary for diverse
wildlife, set against the breathtaking tapestry of
serene beaches and lush bushland. Late afternoon
there will be a welcome drinks party followed by
an included dinner.
DAY 2: Thursday 2 October 2025
Kangaroo Island
Embark on a scenic journey today as we head to
the renowned Pennington Bay beach, nestled on
the captivating south coast of Kangaroo Island.
This stunning bay, celebrated for its excellent
surfing, serves as the idyllic backdrop for an
immersive painting session under the expert
guidance of Robyn Collier.
DAY 3: Friday 3 October 2025
Kangaroo Island
Today we board the coach for a painting
expedition on Kangaroo Island. We will visit
Cygnet River, a tranquil waterway surrounded
by lush vegetation, farmland, and stretches of
native bushland. Due to the surrounding native
vegetation, you can spot plenty of wildlife,
including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, echidnas,
and a wide variety of bird species.
DAY 4: Saturday 4 October 2025
Kangaroo Island
A full day of painting on Kangaroo Island. Led
by Robyn Collier, we will explore captivating
subjects, receiving personalised guidance to
enhance our artistic visions. This evening there
will be an included dinner.
DAY 5: Sunday 5 October 2025
Clare Valley
This morning, we set off to Clare a charming
town nestled in the heart of the Clare Valley
wine region, known for its scenic beauty and rich
viticulture. Rolling hills, picturesque vineyards,
and historic buildings give the town a tranquil,
rustic appeal.
DAY 6: Monday 6 October 2025
Clare Valley
Today, we will enjoy a painting session at a
charming boutique winery in the heart of Clare
Valley. With plenty of inspiring subjects to capture on canvas, this will be a delightful experience for
all workshop participants. In addition to painting,
you will have the chance to savour exceptional
wines and enjoy a delicious lunch, included at one
of the region’s renowned wineries.
DAY 7: Tuesday 7 October 2025
Wilpena Pound
Today we travel to the awe-inspiring Flinders
Ranges National Park, our destination being the
renowned Wilpena Pound Resort. Set against
the backdrop of some of South Australia’s
most breathtaking and rugged scenery, the
Flinders Ranges are sure to inspire awe. Our
accommodation at Wilpena Pound Resort places
us in the heart of an extraordinary natural basin
covering approximately 80 square kilometres.
Throughout our stay, the talented Robyn will
guide you in capturing the ever-changing colours
of the outback, offering insights into translating
the unique beauty of this rugged landscape onto
your painting. As each day concludes, join us for
an included dinner.
DAY 8: Wednesday 8 October 2025
Wilpena Pound
Today’s painting session will unfold at the
historic Old Wilpena Station, nestled within the
Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. Wilpena
Station, established in 1851, was an integral
pioneering pastoral run with a remarkable working life spanning 135 years. Today, it stands
as a testament to the resilience of the past,
offering a glimpse into the region’s historical
significance. Capture the character and essence of
this iconic location as Robyn guides you through
the painting process. This evening there is an
included dinner.
DAY 9: Thursday 9 October 2025
Wilpena Pound
Today we travel to Brachina Gorge, a captivating
location for a day of painting. Once a passage
for bullock teams pulling their loads, this
spectacular gorge now stands as a picnic and
camping area, offering a picturesque canvas
for artists. With its rich history and stunning
landscapes, Brachina Gorge promises a unique
and inspiring painting experience. This evening
there is an included dinner.
DAY 10: Friday 10 October 2025
Wilpena Pound
Today Robyn will select a superb painting location
near our hotel. With her expert guidance, you
will learn to interpret the distinctive beauty of
this landscape, rich in indigenous history, ancient geological formations, vibrant colours, and
textures. As an optional adventure during your
stay, you may like to book a sightseeing flight
over Wilpena Pound. Witness the grandeur of
this natural wonder from the skies, gaining a new
perspective on its vast beauty. In the evening, we
enjoy another included dinner.
DAY 11: Saturday 11 October, 2025
Wilpena Pound
Today we travel to the historic and picturesque
Blinman for a full day of painting. Nestled in
the central Flinders Ranges, Blinman holds the distinction of being the highest town in
South Australia. Its rich history traces back to
the discovery of copper in 1859, with mining
operations commencing in 1862. At its zenith,
Blinman boasted a population exceeding 1500
residents. Today, this tranquil settlement has
evolved into a peaceful haven with a permanent
population of just 22. In the evening, we enjoy an
included dinner.
DAY 12: Sunday 12 October, 2025
Wilpena Pound
On our final day painting in the Flinders Ranges.
Join Robyn for a special painting demonstration.
Following the demonstration, Robyn will dedicate
time to move among the group members,
offering individual assistance and guidance. To
celebrate the success of the workshop and the
artistic achievements of each participant, we will
gather for a memorable farewell dinner.
DAY 13: Monday 13 October, 2025
Departure
Following breakfast, our workshop concludes
with a transfer to Adelaide Airport, for flights with
departures scheduled after 5:00 pm.

1. Payment Conditions:
A reservation deposit of $500 per person is required at the
time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the
date of departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be added
to payments by Visa, Mastercard and Amex.
2. Alteration to Workshop Vacation Price:
The Painting Workshop vacation price is subject to change
in the event of unforeseen circumstances and changes in
the cost of travel and accommodation services. Should any
increase in the Workshop vacation price be unacceptable
to the registered member, a full refund of monies paid will
be made.
3. Cancellation and Amendments:
Cancellations received in writing 60 or more days from the
date of departure will result in a cancellation fee of $500
per person. Cancellations received 60 or fewer days before
departure will result in a loss of all monies paid. There are no
refunds for services not utilized while on a Workshop vacation.
Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover Workshop
members for the consequences of unforeseen events during
the Workshop vacation and for cancellation fees that could
result from illness, accident, death or other contingencies.
Once a booking has been confirmed, one amendment to
travel arrangements will be made free-of charge. Subsequent
changes to travel arrangements will incur an amendment fee
of $25 per change in addition to supplier charges.
4. Minimum Workshop Vacation Numbers:
Each Painting Workshop vacation has been priced on the
basis of a minimum number of members travelling. In the event that fewer than the minimum number of members
have confirmed their booking 60 days from the date of
commencement, Travelrite International reserves the right to
cancel the Workshop vacation, giving a full refund of monies
paid, or to offer arrangements to proceed with the Workshop
vacation at a modified price.
5. General:
In the unlikely event that the Workshop tutor is unable to
perform his or her duties due to unforeseen contingencies,
Travelrite International reserves the right to substitute
another artist as tutor or to continue with the Workshop
vacation as planned or to provide a cash refund to Workshop
members equivalent to the value of the Workshop leadership.
International Artist Painting Workshops can involve a
considerable amount of walking and stair-climbing in the
regions visited and it is important that all members have a
level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in these
activities without the need of assistance from others.
6. Tax Considerations:
If you regularly sell your own paintings, you may fall into
the semi-professional or professional category for taxation
purposes and the tour cost may be tax-deductible. We
recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified tax
adviser.
7. Responsibilities:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd., their agents, officers, affiliates,
and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with
these Workshop vacations shall act only as agents in making
arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants, or any
other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for
any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person
or property due to an act of negligence or of default of any
hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any services included in the Workshops, or by act of God. Further,
no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due
to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown,
quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism,
or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is
accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays,
rerouting or acts of any government or authority. Baggage
remains at owner’s risk throughout the Workshop vacation.
The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when
issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers
and the purchasers of these Painting Workshop vacations
and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any
Painting Workshop vacation and/or to make such changes in
the Painting Workshop vacation as may be found desirable
for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying
out of the Painting Workshop vacation. Registration for any
Painting Workshop vacation constitutes a contract which
shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of
Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in the
State of Victoria.
