Annee is an award-winning artist and a Fellow of both the Victorian Artists Society and the Guild of Realist Artists. She is also a member of the Watercolour Society of Victoria and the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors, in addition to other art groups and societies. She is an avid En Plein Air painter and has been tutoring for over 30 years, imparting her knowledge and enthusiasm to her classes. In addition to French, which is her native language, she is also conversant in Italian and Spanish and has conducted 10 European workshops. Annee paints in a fluent and confident style, holds a strong sense of composition and sound draftsmanship and will tackle a wide variety of subject matter. Whilst painting in Pastel and Acrylic, her favourite medium remains Watercolour.

DAY 1: Sunday 31 August 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Workshop members will be met at NH Pisa Hotel
at 12:30 pm or Pisa Airport at 1pm and transferred
by private coach to the enchanting village of
Monterosso. Nestled within the breathtaking Cinque
Terre (Five Lands), Monterosso greets us with its
charm and beauty. As we explore this rugged
terrain, adorned with terraced vineyards clinging
to the mountainsides, we will be captivated by the
dramatic vistas that unfold before us. Each evening,
we will come together to indulge in delightful
dinners, savouring the flavours of the region and
reflecting on the day’s adventures.
DAY 2: Monday 1 September 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
This morning, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour
of Cinque Terre with a local guide. The tour will
include a boat trip along the Cinque Terre coastline.
After lunch Annee will start the workshop with a
painting demonstration, followed by personalised
instruction. Later, we will enjoy a delightful, included
dinner. Throughout our time together, valuable
critique sessions will provide us with invaluable
insights and guidance to further enhance our artistic
pursuits.
DAY 3: Tuesday 2 September 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Today we embark on a picturesque journey to
the charming village of Vernazza for a full day of
painting. Renowned as one of the most captivating
villages in the Cinque Terre, Vernazza enchants
with its towering, vibrant-hued houses that line
the waterfront promenade and piazza. There
will be countless superb subjects that will keep
you painting all day. This evening there will be an
included dinner.
DAY 4: Wednesday 3 September 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Today, we journey to Levanto, a hidden gem
nestled along the Italian Riviera and the gateway to
Cinque Terre. With its captivating historical centre,
adorned with beautifully painted villas, and a lively
Wednesday market, Levanto offers a delightful
blend of charm and vibrancy. At the heart of Levanto
lies the picturesque Piazza della Loggia, graced by a
charming 13th-century medieval loggia, providing
the perfect backdrop for Annee to select inspiring
subjects for our painting session.
This evening there will be an included dinner.
DAY 5: Thursday 4 September 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Painting, relaxation and sightseeing in Cinque Terre
with Annee Kelly. Enjoy another included dinner
with the group this evening.
DAY 6: Friday 5 September 2025
Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Today we travel to Sestri Levante a stunning coastal
town for a full day of painting. Nestled between
the renowned Cinque Terre and the bustling city
of Genoa. Often referred to as the “Bay of Fairy
Tales” due to its enchanting beauty, Sestri Levante
boasts breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches,
and a rich cultural heritage. One of the highlights of
Sestri Levante is its dual bays: the Baia delle Favole
(Bay of Fairy Tales) and the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of
Silence). The Baia delle Favole is characterized by
its colourful buildings, charming promenade, and
vibrant atmosphere, while the Baia del Silenzio
offers a more serene and tranquil setting, perfect for
relaxation and reflection. You will be able to explore
its historic centre, adorned with narrow cobblestone
streets, picturesque squares, and historic landmarks
such as the Church of San Nicolò, dating back to the
13th century. Enjoy another included dinner with the
group this evening.
DAY 7: Saturday 6 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
This morning marks our departure from the
captivating Cinque Terre as we set our sights on
Lake Maggiore, one of Italy’s most renowned lakes.
Revered for its legendary beauty, Lake Maggiore
captivates with its majestic and occasionally
untamed allure, drawing visitors from far and wide.
Among its many attractions are the Borromean
Islands, adding to the lake’s allure and charm. Fed
by the Ticino River, originating in Switzerland, Lake
Maggiore showcases a spectrum of colours, from
the mesmerizing jade green in the north to the
deep, serene blue in the south.
DAY 8: Sunday 7 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
Today promises a full day of artistic immersion at
Lake Maggiore. Under Annee’s expert guidance,
we will venture to a picturesque location carefully
selected for its painting potential. There, Annee
will lead the group in a demonstration, illuminating
techniques and insights to inspire our creativity.
Following the demonstration, Annee will provide
individual attention, guiding workshop members as
they bring their artistic visions to life.
DAY 9: Monday 8 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic boat
ride to Isola Bella, the crown jewel of the Borromean
Islands. Upon arrival, we’re greeted by the
magnificent Palace, an architectural marvel crafted
in the Lombard Baroque style. Inside, we are treated to a glimpse of history as we explore the opulent
staterooms, including Napoleon’s room, the Hall of
Mirrors, and the enchanting music room. We will
also visit the landscaped gardens, dating back to the
17th century, boasting ten terraces adorned with
statues, fountains, and an array of fragrant blooms,
including delicate roses and aromatic plants. As
we wander through this botanical wonderland, we
are presented with an abundance of captivating
subjects, perfect for our painting session.
DAY 10: Tuesday 9 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
Today, our journey takes us to the tranquil shores of
Lake d’Orta for a day dedicated to painting. Nestled
in the foothills of the majestic Alps, to the west of
Lake Maggiore and close to the charming town of
Orta San Giulio, this hidden gem awaits. Despite
being one of the smaller lakes in the renowned
Italian Lake District, Lake d’Orta holds its own,
celebrated for its unparalleled natural beauty and
serene atmosphere.
DAY 11: Wednesday 10 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
Today, our journey takes us to Baveno, renowned for
its graceful villas and vibrant waterfront. Along the
waterfront, the scene unfolds with charming boats
gently swaying in the harbor, creating wonderful
subject for today’s painting session.
DAY 12: Thursday 11 September 2025
Lake Maggiore
Our last day in Lake Maggiore with Annee providing
valuable guidance on our last day of painting. A
thoughtful critique session is scheduled for the late
afternoon, offering a reflective discussion on the
workshop’s accomplishments. The group will gather
for an included farewell dinner, celebrating the
shared success of our artistic endeavours.
DAY 13: Friday 12 September 2025
Departure
This morning, we say farewell to the serene beauty
of Lake Maggiore as we make our way to Milan
Malpensa airport to meet flights departing after
12pm midday.

1. Payment Conditions:
A reservation deposit of $500 per person is required at the
time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the
date of departure. A 1.5% administration charge will be
added to payments by Visa, Mastercard and Amex.
2. Alteration to Workshop Vacation Price:
The Painting Workshop Vacation price is subject to change
in the event of unforeseen circumstances and changes in
the cost of travel and accommodation services. Should any
increase in the Workshop Vacation price be unacceptable
to the registered member, a full refund of monies paid will
be made.
3. Cancellation and Amendments:
* Cancellation conditions don’t apply for clients with future cruise/tour credits. Cruise/tour credits are non-refundable.
Cancellations received in writing 60 or more days from the
date of departure will result in a cancellation fee of $500
per person. Cancellations received 60 or fewer days before
departure will result in a loss of all monies paid. There are
no refunds for services not utilized while on a Workshop
Vacation. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover
Workshop members for the consequences of unforeseen
events during the Workshop Vacation and for cancellation
fees that could result from illness, accident, death or other
contingencies. Once a booking has been confirmed, one
amendment to travel arrangements will be made free-of
charge. Subsequent changes to travel arrangements will
incur an amendment fee of $25 per change in addition to
supplier charges.
4. Minimum Workshop Vacation Numbers:
Each Painting Workshop Vacation has been priced on the
basis of a minimum number of members travelling. In the event that fewer than the minimum number of members
have confirmed their booking 60 days from the date of
commencement, Travelrite International reserves the right
to cancel the Workshop Vacation, giving a full refund of
monies paid, or to offer arrangements to proceed with the
Workshop Vacation at a modified price.
5. General:
In the unlikely event that the Workshop tutor is
unable to perform his or her duties due to unforeseen
contingencies, Travelrite International reserves the right
to substitute another artist as tutor or to continue with
the Workshop Vacation as planned or to provide a cash
refund to Workshop members equivalent to the value of
the Workshop leadership. International Artist Painting
Workshops can involve a considerable amount of walking
and stair-climbing in the regions visited and it is important
that all members have a level of physical fitness that allows
them to take part in these activities without the need of
assistance from others.
6. Tax Considerations:
If you regularly sell your own paintings, you may fall into
the semi-professional or professional category for taxation
purposes and the tour cost may be tax-deductible. We
recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified tax
adviser.
7. Responsibilities:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd., their agents, officers,
affiliates, and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or
in connection with these Workshop Vacations shall
act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels,
transportation, restaurants, or any other service and do
not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage,
death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due
to an act of negligence or of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any services
included in the Workshops, or by act of God. Further, no
responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay
due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery
breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather,
terrorism, or other causes beyond their control. No
responsibility is accepted for any additional expenses,
omissions, delays, rerouting or acts of any government
or authority. Baggage remains at owner’s risk throughout
the Workshop Vacation. The passage contract in use by
the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the
sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of
these Painting Workshop Vacations and/or the passengers.
The right is reserved to withdraw any Painting Workshop
Vacation and/or to make such changes in the Painting
Workshop Vacation as may be found desirable for the
convenience of the parties and the proper carrying-out
of the Painting Workshop Vacation. Registration for any
Painting Workshop Vacation constitutes a contract which
shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State
of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in
the State of Victoria.
