Antoinette has been painting in watercolour for over 30 years and is a respected teacher and judge in the medium. Her work reflects a commitment to strong composition, while capturing the emotion and atmosphere of the scene before her. A passionate and experienced artist, Antoinette has exhibited and sold her work widely, with her paintings held in private collections across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. In recent years, she has returned to Britain and Europe – building on earlier visits – to seek inspiration from the architecture and picturesque landscapes of European towns and British villages. charm. Its main street is adorned with beautifully preserved
convict-era buildings, while grand estates on the outskirts offer

by charming heritage buildings, rolling countryside, and timeless
inspiration.
DAY 4: Sunday 8 February 2026 St Helens
Today, we travel to Scottsdale for a painting session in this quaint
and charming town, nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Tier
Mountains. Surrounded by rolling hills and fertile landscapes,
Scottsdale offers a breathtaking view of fields adorned with
poppy crops, and lush forestry. The natural beauty of the area
will provide endless inspiration, making it the perfect backdrop
for today’s painting session. We then travel to St Helens, the
largest town on Tasmania’s northeast coast, located on the
picturesque Georges Bay. St Helens serves as the gateway
to the world-renowned Bay of Fires, known for its pristine
beaches and vibrant orange-hued granite rocks. Life in St Helens
revolves around the ocean, and the town offers an abundance
of natural beauty. With its stunning beaches, tranquil bays, and
meandering estuaries, it is an artist’s paradise. As the day draws
to a close, we will gather for an included dinner, celebrating the
local flavours and the incredible landscapes that surround us.
DAY 5: Monday 9 February 2026 St Helens

morning with a demonstration, showcasing her unique

they develop their pieces. In the afternoon, there will be time
to put the finishing touches on your work before we gather for a
constructive critique session.
DAY 6: Tuesday 10 February 2026 St Helens
Today we travel to the Bay of Fires and Binnalong Bay for a
day of painting. The Bay of Fires is famous for its crystal-clear
waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite
boulders and is one of Tasmania’s most popular conservation
reserves. The Bay of Fires extends along the coast from Binalong
Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north. Its name refers
to the Aboriginal fires spotted by Captain Tobias Furneaux when
he sailed past in 1773, but it could also apply to the brilliant
orange lichen that grows on the granite boulders lining the bay.
DAY 7: Wednesday 11 February 2026 Hobart
Today, we set off on a scenic journey to Swansea, a charming
coastal town surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. With
its pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and serene waterways,

our adventure southward, heading toward Hobart for the
next exciting chapter of our journey.
DAY 8: Thursday 12 February 2026 Hobart

now they house cafes, restaurants and studios and bustle with shoppers and visitors.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a valuable critique session.
DAY 9: Friday 13 February 2026 Hobart

“It was so well organized. We got to see all the best places, but without feeling we were being herded around like cattle, like you do on some tours. There was plenty of time to paint, and the instructor told me more about how to improve my painting style in weeks than I have learned all year back home. I really did get individual attention.”
“I particularly enjoyed meeting people with similar interests and having a working reason for being in a location.”
