Vivi has been interested in painting and drawing from a very early age. She enjoys capturing mood and the effect of light across a wide range of subjects, including water, still life, landscapes, and figurative scenes. She paints in watercolour, acrylic, and oil, and shares her passion through teaching and mentoring her own classes. Vivi has received many awards and continues to participate in many Art shows as well as tutoring outdoor painting trips, both local and overseas. Vivi will demonstrate in watercolours but will be happy to assist painters in other mediums.

DAY 1 Thursday 7 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Workshop participants will depart from Adelaide Airport at 10.00 am. Please allow sufficient time to collect your luggage before departure. We then travel to the spectacular Flinders Ranges, with our destination being Wilpena Pound Resort, located within the extraordinary landscape of Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. The dramatic mountains, valleys and distinctive colours of the region provide an inspiring setting to begin our painting adventure. On arrival, we will gather for a welcome drink, followed by an included dinner.
DAY 2 Friday 8 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Today's painting session takes us to historic Old Wilpena Station, one of South Australia's best-preserved pastoral sites. Old Wilpena Station was a working pastoral station for 135 years before retiring in 1985. Today, its buildings and surrounding landscape offer a fascinating insight into the region's pastoral history, while the site also has enduring cultural significance for the Adnyamathanha people. Vivi will guide you in capturing the character and atmosphere of this remarkable location. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner.
DAY 3 Saturday 9 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Today we travel to spectacular Brachina Gorge for a full day of painting. Once used as a route by bullock teams, the gorge is now a popular destination surrounded by the rugged scenery for which the Flinders Ranges are renowned. The distinctive rock formations, colours and changing light provide an abundance of inspiring subjects for your watercolour paintings. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner.
DAY 4 Sunday 10 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Today we travel to the historic township of Blinman for a full day of painting. Nestled in the central Flinders Ranges, Blinman is the highest town in South Australia. Its history began with the discovery of copper in 1859, with mining commencing in 1862. At its peak, the town had a population of more than 1,500. Today, Blinman is a peaceful settlement with a permanent population of around 22, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the northern Flinders Ranges. Explore the township's historic buildings and distinctive outback character as you develop your paintings. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner.
DAY 5 Monday 11 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Today Vivi will select an inspiring painting location close to the resort. Explore the distinctive colours and textures of the Flinders landscape, its vast open spaces, dramatic forms and crystal-clear light. Vivi will encourage you to interpret the landscape in your own way while helping you develop your watercolour techniques. There will also be an optional scenic flight over Wilpena Pound, offering a spectacular aerial perspective of the landscape. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner.
DAY 6 Tuesday 12 October 2027 Flinders Ranges
Our final day of painting in the Flinders Ranges begins with a special demonstration by Vivi. Following the demonstration, Vivi will spend time with individual participants, offering guidance and practical advice as you develop your paintings. It is a wonderful opportunity to consolidate the techniques explored during our time in this extraordinary landscape. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner.
DAY 7 Wednesday 13 October 2027 Clare Valley
This morning we depart for Clare, a charming township in the heart of the Clare Valley. Known for its rolling hills, vineyards, historic stone buildings and rich agricultural and winemaking heritage, the Clare Valley provides a wonderful contrast to the rugged landscape of the Flinders Ranges. En route, we stop in Burra, a historic copper-mining town with fascinating buildings and heritage sites dating from the 19th century. We will have time to explore before continuing to Clare. This evening, an included dinner will be served.
DAY 8 Thursday 14 October 2027 Clare Valley
Today we enjoy a painting session at a charming boutique winery in the heart of the Clare Valley. Surrounded by vineyards and beautiful countryside, the setting offers a wonderful range of subjects to paint. Relax into the day as you explore the landscape through watercolour, with Vivi on hand to offer guidance and individual tuition. After painting, enjoy the opportunity to savour local wines and a delicious, included lunch at a Clare Valley winery.
DAY 9 Friday 15 October 2027 Clare Valley
Today we explore some of the Clare Valley's beautiful historic villages and countryside. Our excursion includes a visit to Martindale Hall in Mintaro, a grand Georgian-style country mansion constructed in 1879-80. Vivi will provide a demonstration and individual tuition throughout the day, helping you capture the character and atmosphere of these picturesque locations. There will also be time for lunch at The Magpie & Stump Hotel, at your own expense. This evening, an included dinner will be served at our hotel.
DAY 10 Saturday 16 October 2027 Hahndorf
This morning we travel to Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement. Established in 1839 in the Adelaide Hills, the village retains much of its distinctive German heritage, with historic buildings, bakeries, food producers, galleries and cafés lining its picturesque main street. This afternoon we visit The Cedars, the former home and studio of renowned Australian artist Sir Hans Heysen. We will enjoy a guided visit to this historic property and discover more about Heysen's life and work, including his studio and the landscape that inspired many of his best-known paintings.
DAY 11 Sunday 17 October 2027 Hahndorf
Today we spend a full day painting in the charming town of Hahndorf. Vivi will select a picturesque location and begin with a demonstration, sharing techniques for capturing the character, light and atmosphere of the scene. There will then be plenty of time to paint, with individual guidance from Vivi as you develop your own interpretation of the surroundings.
DAY 12 Monday 18 October 2027 Hahndorf
Our final full day of painting begins with a demonstration by Vivi, followed by individual tuition. This afternoon there will be further time to complete your paintings before we come together for a final critique session. In the evening, we celebrate our time together in South Australia with farewell drinks and an included dinner.
DAY 13 Tuesday 19 October 2027 Departure
This morning, workshop participants will be transferred to Adelaide Airport for flights to their home cities departing after 1.00 pm. We bid farewell after 13 inspiring days of painting, exploration and friendship across some of South Australia's most beautiful landscapes.

1. Payment Conditions:
A reservation deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of
booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the date of departure.
No more than $5,000 per booking may be paid to Travelrite by credit
card, the balance must use another approved method.
2. ALTERATION TO WORKSHOP VACATION PRICE:
The Painting Workshop Vacation price is subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances and changes in the cost of travel and accommodation services. Should any increase in the Workshop Vacation price be unacceptable to the registered member, a full refund of monies paid will be made.
3. CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS:
Cancellations received in writing 60 or more days from the date of departure will result in a cancellation fee of $500 per person. Cancellations received 60 or fewer days before departure will result in a loss of all monies paid. There are no refunds for services not utilized while on a Workshop Vacation. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover Workshop members for the consequences of unforeseen events during the Workshop Vacation and for cancellation fees that could result from illness, accident, death or other contingencies. Once a booking has been confirmed, one amendment to travel arrangements will be made free of charge. Subsequent changes to travel arrangements will incur an amendment fee of $25 per change in addition to supplier charges.
4. MINIMUM WORKSHOP VACATION NUMBERS:
Each Painting Workshop Vacation has been priced on the basis of a minimum number of members travelling. In the event that fewer than the minimum number of members have confirmed their booking 60 days from the date of commencement, Travelrite International reserves the right to cancel the Workshop Vacation, giving a full refund of monies paid, or to offer arrangements to proceed with the Workshop Vacation at a modified price.
5. GENERAL:
In the unlikely event that the Workshop tutor is unable to perform his or her duties due to unforeseen contingencies, Travelrite International reserves the right to substitute another artist as tutor or to continue with the Workshop Vacation as planned or to provide a cash refund to Workshop members equivalent to the value of the Workshop leadership. International Artist Painting Workshops can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair-climbing in the regions visited and it is important that all members have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in these activities without the need of assistance from others.
6. TAX CONSIDERATIONS:
If you regularly sell your own paintings, you may fall into the semi-professional or professional category for taxation purposes and the tour cost may be tax-deductible. We recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified tax adviser.
7. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travelrite International Pty Ltd., their agents, officers, affiliates, and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with these Workshop Vacations shall act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of negligence or of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any services included in the Workshops, or by act of God. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather, terrorism, or other causes beyond their control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, rerouting or acts of any government or authority. Baggage remains at owner's risk throughout the Workshop Vacation. The passage contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of these Painting Workshop Vacations and/or the passengers. The right is reserved to withdraw any Painting Workshop Vacation and/or to make such changes in the Painting Workshop Vacation as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties and the proper carrying-out of the Painting Workshop Vacation. Registration for any Painting Workshop Vacation constitutes a contract which shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and any legal action must be taken in the State of Victoria.
