DAY 1: Monday August 1, 2022 Boothbay, Maine
Workshop members will be met at Portland airport at 11am and
will be transferred to the workshop hotel located just outside
Boothbay Harbor, in Southport, Maine. Set on the harbor Boothbay
consists of quaint village streets and shops, band concerts and craft
fairs on the Library lawn, bustling harbors flowing with lobster
boats, fishing trawlers, windjammers and pleasure craft. During
our time here we will explore quiet coves, rocky shores, lonely
lighthouses and the nearby islands. Straight after lunch Mario will
begin the workshop by outlining his plans for the next few days.
There will be a demonstration before an included welcome dinner.
DAY 2: Tuesday August 2, 2022 Boothbay, Maine

painting demonstration in town. Then it will be your turn to
paint as Mario moves among the group, helping each person
with their work. Critique sessions will be held at the workshop
hotel each evening.
DAY 3: Wenesday August 3, 2022 Boothbay, Maine
Today will be a real treat as we take the ferry to Mohegan Island.

to sketch and take photographs. We will return to Boothbay late
afternoon.

area attracted artists and writers and will be a delight to paint.

“It was so well organized. We got to see all the best places, but without feeling we were being herded around like cattle, like you do on some tours. There was plenty of time to paint, and the instructor told me more about how to improve my painting style in weeks than I have learned all year back home. I really did get individual attention.”
“I particularly enjoyed meeting people with similar interests and having a working reason for being in a location.”
