Day 1: Monday May 3, 2010 Venice
Workshop members will be met at midday at Venice airport and transferred to your comfortable three-star hotel superbly located close to the Grand Canal and a wealth of great painting sites. After lunch, Amanda Hyatt will lead the group with her first painting demonstration in the back streets of Venice, close to the hotel. There will be time to freshen up before the group meets for welcome drinks. Dinner will be at leisure.

Day 2: Tuesday May 4, 2010 Venice
This morning a local guide will take you on a tour of the sights of Venice. We will visit St Mark’s Cathedral and its square, the Grand Canal, the Doge's Palace and the busy waterfront. Following the tour, Amanda Hyatt will begin painting with a demonstration, and then move amongst the group helping with individual paintings.

Day 3: Wednesday May 5, 2010 Venice
Amanda will lead the group to a good painting location and then assist workshop members with their individual work. Relaxed critique sessions will be held at the workshop hotel every few days.

Day 4: Thursday May 6, 2010 Venice
After breakfast we will take you by boat to the colorful island of Burano for a day of painting and sightseeing. Featuring an extensive network of canals and ancient buildings painted in vivid reds and greens, Burano will surely offer inspiration for today’s workshop. The group will spend the day exploring the island and will return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 5: Friday May 7, 2010 Venice
Amanda will begin your final day in Venice with a demonstration and then help workshop members with their work throughout the day. This evening there will be an included dinner to celebrate our time in Venice.

Day 6: Saturday May 8, 2010 Lake Como
Today workshop members will travel by private coach to the beautiful city of Como and stay in a four star hotel over looking the lake. Como is a city of history, art, culture and tradition and welcomes those in search of unusual and enchanting landscapes. Como was prosperous under the Romans and reached its zenith in the 11th century. Now it is a modern town with a beautiful setting on the shores of Lake Como.

Day 7: Sunday May 9, 2010 Lake Como
After breakfast Amanda Hyatt will begin the painting program in Como with a demonstration in a good location near the hotel. Then it will be your turn to paint as Amanda moves among the group, helping each person with their work.

Day 8: Monday May 10, 2010 Lake Como
Today we travel to the lovely town of Bellagio for a day of painting. Occupying a magnificent site on the promontory dividing Lake Lecco from Lake Como, it is known for its pretty streets, the friendliness of its people and its villas and gardens. In the afternoon we take the ferry across the lake to the village of Tremezzo to visit Villa Carlotta, known for its beautiful setting and spectacular gardens. It was built in 1745 and later given as a wedding present to Carlotta, Duchess of Saxe-Meiningen.

Day 9: Tuesday May 11, 2010 Lake Como
A full day of painting, sightseeing and relaxation in Como with Amanda Hyatt.

Day 10: Wednesday May 12, 2010 Lake Como
Today we will depart in our private coach to Menaggio, which is situated on the western shore of Lake Como, for a day of painting. The splendid lakeside promenade with its lovely flowerbeds and unique view of the central lake will offer many subjects to paint. Amanda will paint a demonstration and then spend time moving amongst the group members offering individual assistance. There will be time to catch the ferry to Varenna, a spectacular town built upon a rock at the foot of a mountain which rises almost vertically above it.

Day 11: Thursday May 13, 2010 Lake Como
Our last full day of painting in beautiful Lake Como. Amanda will lead the group for a final day of painting on the lake. She will demonstrate and then move from person to person offering helpful advice. A final critique session will be held before an included drink’s party and farewell dinner to celebrate the success of the workshop.

Day 12: Friday May 14 2010 Departure
Time to say farewell. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Milan airport for afternoon return flights departing after 1.00pm. Workshop concludes.
