WORKSHOP

DAY 1: FRIDAY OCTOBER 3, 2008 CAPE TOWN
Workshop members will be transferred from Cape Town airport to your comfortable four star hotel in the heart of Cape Town. Cape Town has a beauty and style that is matched by few cities in the world. The grandeur of Table Mountain, the sweep of the bay and the mountains cascading into the sea will provide many subjects to paint during you stay. A stroll through the lovely city center constantly reveals the city's three centuries as the sealink between Europe and the East. There will be time to freshen up before the group meets for welcome drinks.

DAY 2: SATURDAY OCTOBER 4, 2008 CAPE TOWN
This morning we will depart on a sightseeing tour of Cape Town with a local guide. We will visit the Castle of Good Hope, a squat fortress built in 1665, the Company Gardens, Cape Town's botanical gardens and Bo-Kapp, the historic home of the city's Muslim population. Weather permitting we will see Table Mountain. In the afternoon Greg will lead the group to a wonderful painting spot where he will paint his first demonstration. Greg will then help workshop members with their own paintings.

DAY 3: SUNDAY OCTOBER 5, 2008 CAPE TOWN
Today we will have a day of painting in Stellenbosch, heart of the winelands. We will travel through Swellendam and stop at the pretty village of Barrydale for lunch. We will reach Knysna in the afternoon. Knysna is the most popular destination on the Garden Route with its arts and crafts shops and quaint charm. The focus of the town is the beautiful Knysna Lagoon, ringed by forested hills.
