Sunday 5 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
Workshop members will be met at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 2.00pm (Please allow ample time to collect your luggage prior to the departure time) and transferred into Paris to our comfortable 4 star hotel. Paris is considered to be one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world. Paris has been home to artists, poets, composers, designers and revolutionaries for generations. This evening the group will meet for welcome drinks and Greg will outline his plans for the workshop

Day 2: Monday 6 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
After breakfast workshop members will enjoy an orientation tour of the main sights of Paris with a local guide. We will visit the famous sights of Paris including the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. In the afternoon we will begin the painting program with a demonstration and individual teaching. Valuable critique sessions will be held every few days.

Day 3: Tuesday 7 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
After breakfast we will travel to the Trocadero where we will paint the spectacular view of the Eiffel tower from the opposite side of the river Seine. Greg will paint a demonstration and then guide workshop members with their work until mid afternoon. In the afternoon you may like to take an optional river cruise down the magical river Seine.

Day 4: Wednesday 8 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
After breakfast the workshop group will board a private coach to travel to the picturesque town of Giverny on the river Seine where we will visit Claude Monet’s famous garden and house. Monet’s house and gardens were a source of inspiration and became his life’s work. There he created in nature the motifs that became his obsession transporting the water lilies, boats and bridges of his garden onto his canvases. Greg will assist workshop members to capture the beauty of this famous home and gardens. We will return to the workshop hotel late afternoon.

Day 5: Thursday 9 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
After breakfast Greg will lead the group to a good painting location and carry out a demonstration. Later Greg will assist individual group members with their own work. There are many subjects to paint and much to be enjoyed in the colorful street cafes, restaurants and shops. In the afternoon you may like to visit the Musee d’Orsay home to an amazing collection of impressionist paintings from artists such as Monet and Renoir.

Day 6: Friday 10 Sept, 2010 Paris, France
After breakfast we will enjoy our last group painting session in Paris. Greg will demonstrate in the morning and guide workshop members with their work until the afternoon.

Day 7: Saturday 11 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
Today we say farewell to Paris and travel by private coach to the magnificent Dordogne where we will stay in a magnificent Chateau for the next 6 nights. Our accommodation is a charming chateau dating from the 12th century in the heart of Perigord Noir. A wonderful evening meal will be included each night during our stay here.

Day 8: Sunday 12 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
You will enjoy a full day of painting and relaxation under Greg’s helpful eye close to the beautiful Chateau.

Day 9: Monday 13 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
This morning we will travel to the beautiful town of Sarlat la Canada and have a guided tour of this fascinating town. The town grew up around the Benedictine abbey founded in the middle of the 9th century. Sarlat reached its peak during the 13th and 14th centuries. There are houses full of charm all over the town, many with attractive courtyards. The town is host to interesting fairs and markets. We will see Maison de la Boetie, one of the finest houses and example of a Renaissance building of 1525. After lunch Greg will commence the painting program in Sarlat. We will return to our chateau in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Tuesday 14 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
After breakfast you will enjoy a group painting session at the beautiful Chateau, Greg will demonstrate in the morning and guide workshop members with their work until mid afternoon.

Day 11: Wednesdsay 15 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
Today workshop members will board a private coach for a day of painting and exploration of the Dordogne region. In the morning we will visit the spectacular town of La Roque-Gageac, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. The village is surrounded by ancient manors and crowned with cliffs and is a paradise for painters. In the afternoon we will visit the Caves of Lascaux that are famous for their prehistoric paintings showing various animals, hunts and wars.

Day 12: Thursday 16 Sept, 2010 Dordogne, France
After breakfast Greg will find a good painting spot for a day of painting and guidance. During the afternoon Greg will hold his final critique session and later the group will enjoy an included farewell dinner.

Day 13: Friday 17 Sept, 2010 Departure
After breakfast workshop members will travel by private coach to Bordeaux airport in time for your flights departing after 2.00pm.
